The Scotch-Brite™ SR Radial Bristle Disc allows you to remove thin, unwanted coatings without damaging the underlying surfaces. Our bristle discs are a good alternative to abrasives and hand scrapers, as they require less effort and time to use. No harsh chemicals or special ventilation or cleaning equipment are required. When used at the recommended operating speed, the SR Radial Bristle Disc can remove thin sealants, silicones and adhesives from most surfaces. Unlike similar disc products, the bristle discs have no sharp edges. This allows the bristles to be compressed and adapted to curves and recesses without causing scratches or grooves on the workpiece. Scotch-Brite™ discs have firm yet flexible bristles that adapt to the workpiece and produce a consistent finish even on protrusions, small indentations, patterns and other hard-to-reach areas. In addition, Roloc™ attachment accessories, including Roloc knobs and plastic holders, are available. These buttons and holders make it easier and quicker to attach the discs to portable tools such as angle grinders and straight grinders. With a half-turn of the button, the user can quickly attach the disc to the grinder or change discs rapidly. Scotch-Brite SR radial brush discs can also be used with a variety of 3M™ mandrels to adjust widths or sizes to meet the requirements of specific tasks. The 3M™ MN-AC mandrel is designed to secure a small Scotch-Brite™ compact disc to a rotating tool. Our mandrels work with grinders, fit on either side of the disc and are secured with a retaining nut. The 3M™ mandrel for pressed-on compact discs attaches a small Scotch-Brite™ compact grinding disc to a rotating tool, making it easy to deburr edges and finish hard-to-reach and small areas. The flanges on our mandrels fit on both sides of the compact disc and are secured with a cap nut. The small sizes allow you to reach small and hard-to-reach areas.
