Hookit™ pads feature J-shaped hooks, familiar from everyday hook-and-loop fasteners. Using 3M™ Perfect-It™ 1-Step Finishing Polishing Sponges in combination with 3M™ Perfect-It™ Famous Finish or 3M™ Perfect-It™ 1-Step Finish, you can achieve a high-performance polishing process and quick results. After quickly removing paint defects with 3M™ Trizact™ 8000, polish the area using the recommended polish on the pad (identified by the purple cap) to achieve a durable high-gloss finish in a single step for most colours. For optimum performance, use a speed of between 800 rpm and 1400 rpm. This method is ideal for finishing freshly applied paintwork to achieve excellent results quickly.

Use the 3M™ Perfect-It™ foam polishing pads to achieve a fine finish on medium-sized surfaces. Our soft foam pads allow you to efficiently repair and restore coatings using 3M™ polishing compounds without the need for repainting. The honeycomb structure increases the contact area compared to flat hand pads. At the same time, heat build-up is reduced and swirl marks are eliminated. Our single-sided pad with the 3M™ Hookit™ attachment system can be changed quickly. Our hook-and-loop system makes working with random orbital sanders, rotary sanders, polishers, grinders, drills, finish sanders or other power tools easier and more productive. The pad’s hook-and-loop material adheres to the backing plate (sold separately). The pads are quick and easy to attach and are held securely in place during use.
