The 3M™ PPS™ kits with lids and inner cups (the first version is not compatible with items from the 3M™ PPS™ Series 2.0) each contain disposable lids, inner cups and sealing caps specifically designed for use with the 3M™ PPS™ paint application system. Each 3M™ PPS™ lid features a permanently integrated filter that ensures optimal filtration of the paint during application. You can choose between lids with 125-µ filters, which are often recommended for water-based paints, or with 200-µ filters for traditional solvent-based paints. Always consult your paint manufacturer to ensure you use the recommended filter for the specific paint. The lids and inner cups are available in sizes compatible with 3M™ PPS™ cups and sleeves (first version), allowing technicians to mix in incremental measurements up to 850 ml. The following lid and cup sizes are available: 3M™ PPS™ Kit with lids and inner cups; in mini size for use with 3M™ PPS™ 180 ml cups and sleeves – excellent for spot touch-ups and paint repairs on a panel 3M™ PPS™ Kit with lids and inner cups in midi size for use with 3M™ PPS™ 400 ml cups and sleeves – excellent for paint repairs on 2 panels 3M™ PPS™ kit with lids and inner cups in standard size for use with 3M™ PPS™ 650 ml cups and sleeves – excellent for paint repairs on 3 panels 3M™ PPS™ kit with large lids and inner cups for use with 3M™ PPS™ 850 ml cups and sleeves – ideal for touch-ups and paint repairs on 4 panels
The 3M™ PPS™ outer cups form part of the 3M™ PPS™ paint application system. The outer cups support the flexible 3M™ PPS™ inner cups. Our outer cups are available in various sizes to suit different applications. Unlike conventional cup systems, the 3M™ PPS™ system eliminates the need to mix the material in additional mixing cups and then transfer it through a filter into a paint container. This eliminates transfer losses caused by the use of mixing cups and filters. With the PPS™ system, place the disposable inner cup into the reusable PPS™ outer cup. Then simply mix the paint in the PPS™ disposable cup, fit the disposable lid (with built-in filter) and the sealing ring – and the PPS™ system is ready to use. After these few simple steps, you can get to work.
With 3M™ High-Performance Flow Cup Nozzle Heads for a fine finish, you can apply even the most demanding paints and clear coats. They have been specially developed for the 3M™ High-Performance Spray Gun and offer finer atomisation and a faster flow rate than typical HVLP sprayers. This allows you to work faster, perfect your colour matching and achieve a glass-like finish. The new 3M™ High-Performance Fine Finish Cup Nozzle Heads ensure effortless application and faster build-up of the coating. When used with the 3M™ High-Performance Paint Spray Gun, even the most demanding paints can be applied without compromising on a premium finish. The finer atomisation aids colour reproduction with your most challenging colours, including metallic shades and paints with lower levels of organic compounds. The 3M™ MS Universal Pneumatic Caulking Gun extrudes all types of single-component sealants. Using the various nozzles supplied and by simply adjusting the controls, you can apply the product to achieve different finishes and create joints of varying widths and shapes. Both cartridges and bags are suitable for the standard nozzles supplied with the products.
The easily sandable 3M™ Repair Compound for Flexible Parts is a two-component epoxy and is suitable for repairing most flexible plastic parts, such as bumper trims and other plastic body panels. The easily sandable 3M™ Repair Compound for Flexible Parts can be applied within 8 minutes and can be sanded to a sharp edge with 180-grit sandpaper after 15 minutes. The practical cartridges with mixing nozzles ensure the correct product mixing ratio every time, thereby increasing productivity. The 3M Polyolefin Adhesion Promoter is recommended for improved adhesion to plastics. The easily sandable 3M™ Repair Compound for Flexible Parts is also suitable as a seam sealer on two-component primers, replicating the appearance of a smooth sealing tape.

The transparent mixing cups are printed with guidelines on the correct mixing ratios for mixtures containing two or more components. The cups are available in various sizes, ranging from 120 ml to 2,300 ml. Matching lids are available for each size.
