Their slim and lightweight design enhances overall comfort and makes them compatible with headwear. Interchangeable earpieces allow you to adjust the earplugs to your desired level of protection and ensure a comfortable fit. Charging is carried out via a micro-USB connector on the charging case. The lithium-ion batteries allow for continuous operation for up to 16 hours; charging (via a computer’s USB port or a mains adapter) takes approximately 180 minutes. The case has a transparent lid, through which the charge level indicator is easily visible. A rubber sealing ring running around the case protects the earplugs from moisture and dirt. In terms of water protection, the case complies with protection class IP54 (with the lid closed and the USB port covered). The attenuation (SNR) of the 3M™ PELTOR™ Electronic Earplugs meets the requirements of the PPE Directive 89/686/EEC. They are available in two versions – one for industrial use, and one for use in shooting and forestry.

Our system saves time, as the dual-microphone design takes measurements in both ears simultaneously. The process is particularly quick and easy. Measuring the dB protection in both ears takes just five seconds. The software integrates seamlessly, and results can be printed or saved electronically for future reference and comparison. Determining each user’s PAR value is the first step towards a successful hearing conservation programme. Once the value has been determined, you can decide whether the user is using the correct hearing protection and ensure they are trained in its proper use. We design our hearing protection to be compatible with fit testing by offering test earmuffs and test earplugs for use with the system. You can test the 3M hearing protection you use with the system and conduct training using probe-equipped versions of the exact products you use. The kit is supplied as a complete system, including software, and is contained in a compartmentalised, durable carrying case.

The 3M™ 1100 Test Earplugs are a special version of the standard earplugs, fitted with a probe. This product is designed for use with the E-A-Rfit™ Validation System. You can use it to carry out fit tests on the 1100 and 1110 earplugs.
