Our Adflo respirator blower can be connected directly to any Speedglas series welding respirator mask and, depending on the filter used, protects the wearer against both particles and gases. Gas filters are sold separately (837242 or 837542). It is equipped with a QRS (Quick Release Swivel) air hose for easy one-handed connection and disconnection. In addition, an airflow indicator, pre-filter, spark arrestor, particle filter, high-performance lithium-ion battery, belt and charger are included. An odour filter (837110) is available separately for working environments with unpleasant odours. The standard battery included in the scope of delivery is fully charged within approximately 5.5 hours (depending on remaining capacity). The expected operating time of the system is 10 to 13 hours with a new particle filter, a fully charged battery and a standard airflow rate. The airflow rate can be easily adjusted to suit the user’s needs. The airflow remains at a constant nominal rate of 170 litres per minute at all times, regardless of the battery charge level or the particle load on the filter. In warmer, more humid working environments, the airflow rate can be increased to 200 litres per minute to improve comfort. The lithium-ion battery reduces the weight of the turbo unit by 20%, thereby improving balance and wearing comfort for the duration of a shift. When using the respiratory fan with a gas filter, we recommend the high-performance battery, and in some configurations, the use of an air hose with a silencer (834009) may be required. Always verify approved combinations with your safety engineer or seek advice from a certified industrial hygienist.
